School Values and Ethos
As a church school community—children, staff, parents and governors—we worked together to identify the key values we wanted to define our school. The children chose four “Golden Values,” and every few years we review them through pupil voice to ensure they still feel relevant and meaningful.
Our Golden values are:
Resilience
Respect
Honesty
Forgiveness
We recognise that there are many other desired values to have, along with our Christian and British Values, and we promote these in our teaching at all times.
Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. They guide our teaching and learning and help create an environment where pupils grow into confident, happy young people who are well-prepared for life after Wistow School and ready for the world around them.
