Word Gap

Wednesday 6th May 2020

Word Gap – this is our guided reading format in Selby Class.

ELG – Communication and Language: Speaking, Listening and Understanding.

Today I would like you to think about rhyming words within the story. Can your child spot the rhyming words within the story? What is a rhyming word? Can your child guess what word comes next when rhyming? Even if the word isn’t exactly the word in the story it should be a word that rhymes. For example, ’she saw two men in a black van, with a map, a key and a cunning plan.’ If you paused didn’t say plan and your child said a word as long as it rhymes with van accept it.

Any work onto tapestry and their green work books please.
