ELG Numbers: Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing. 

 

This week’s focus will be all around estimation and comparing quantities.

 

Starter: mathletics - days of the week activity.

 

Main Activity: today is the last day on estimation. I have attached a link to a quick fire estimation game for your child to have a go at. Once you click onto the game select either ‘count 10 to 20’ or ‘count 10 to 30’ if your child copes with this well you can challenge your child to ‘count 10 to 50’.

Remember any work needs to go into their green work home books and on tapestry please.
