Word Gap

Monday 22nd June 2020

Word Gap – this is our guided reading format in Selby class.

ELG

Communication and Language: Speaking, Listening and Understanding.

Focused task

This week our story is 'The Day the Crayons Came Home'. Over the last few weeks we have been focused on thinking about our colours and how we feel. This story along with 'The Day the Crayons Quit' will help us to continue thinking about we are feeling.

First I would like for you to listen through the story and discuss what has happened with your child. Can they explain why the crayons are upset? What has happened to the crayons? What new colours have you noticed? How do you think these crayons are feeling?
