This half term we are going to be exploring habitats and different places that people and animals live around the world. For the first week we are going to be exploring habitats that we would find here within the UK. 

I would like you to start with looking at URBAN, WOODLANDS and GRASSLANDS.

Task

Today I would like you to have a look at what is meant by an Urban Habitat.

I have attached a BBC Bitesize page which has a video on that explains what we mean by an urban habitat and some of the plant and animals we could find.

There is a page from the RSPB that discusses what other animals you may see around your home. 

When you go for a walk or out this week can you and your child can you see what animals and plants you can spot around our Urban Habitat.
