Number: Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing. 

This week’s focus will be counting in 5’s.

Starter: counting up in 2’s and counting down from 20. I have attached some videos.

Main activity: today I would like you child to continue working on their 5’s. Today is all about carrying on the pattern and counting. I have attached a sheet you could use but you could create your own in their green work books. Start at different numbers it may be tricky and they may want some support. If they are struggling get out some blocks or counters to help them count on 5 more. Remind them again about the pattern and get a 100 number square up if they need it.

Remember any work needs to go into their green work home books and on tapestry please.
