Number: Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing.
This week’s focus will be counting in 5’s.
Starter: count to 100. I have attached the video.
Main Activity: Start with the counting in 5’s video. Then move onto the PowerPoint attached. This is to continue to practice the pattern of counting in 5’s. ensure your child can identify that all the numbers will either finish in a 0 or 5! Use a 100 number square if they need help to see the pattern.
Remember any work needs to go into their green work home books and on tapestry please.
