Number: Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing.
This week’s focus will be place value through to 100.
Starter: today I would like for you to do some longer and shorter work. Find 3 to 5 items ask you child to place them into longest to shortest.
Main Activity: we are continuing with our place value work and today I would like for your child to spend time on the link below. It is a game which is similar to what the children were doing yesterday. Click numbers between 0 and 99. If possible or if needed help your child with a 100 number square.
Remember any work needs to go into their green work home books and on tapestry please.
